Stage Technology/Audio Production Teacher
Cris will now be teaching at a high school full-time for the 2024-2025 school year. She is excited to be teaching Stage Technology and Audio Production. She will also be working on clearing her CTE Credential in the Arts, Media and Entertainment sector. More pictures coming soon!
Teaching Artist
West Covina High School's Performing Arts Academy
Cris was a teaching artist at West Covina High School for the 23-24 school year. As a teaching artist, she mentored technical theatre students in design and production. She assisted PAA students with various competition pieces. Cris also shared her wisdom as a professional designer, and taught industry standard software such as Vectorworks.
Theatre Educator
Foothill Country Day School (FCDS)
At Foothill, Cris taught upper school students (6th-8th grade) about the fundamentals of stage makeup for the 2021-2022 school year. They also engaged in special makeup labs such as a Dia De Los Muertos Lab, Kabuki Makeup Lab, and Special FX makeup lab. During the 2021-2022 school year, Cris also assisted with all technical elements of lower school plays (K-5). From 2022 to 2024, Cris was the technical director for the upper and lower school theatre programs. She oversaw a student-led design program that encompasses all elements of technical theatre, which include, but aren't limited to: costumes/makeup, props, audio, and lighting.
